The Forgotten Research

One of the things that people don’t really  appreciate are dog walkers. They actually have to work pretty hard to get where they are. They have to have a dog handling license, be physically fit, and able to pass background check. They have to be responsible, and be able to pick up poop. They also need to have bargaining skills, and social skills to be a dog walker. The reason for this is because you got to talk to the dog owners about what time you need to walk the dog, when to give the water/food, and or special needs for the dog When they are walking a dog you have to give it water, and pick up after. They work a lot in the city where people have long work hours, and they also work in the suburbs.  They are paid how ever they want to charge and they also get exercise. This is a fun way to earn money if you like dogs plus you get to learn new people.

25 Billion

The app store is going to give away 10,000 dollars of in store money for the person who downloads the 25,000,000,000. We need to find out what day we should start to download apps. That is what the rest of the post is going to be about.

The first thing that I do to find out when to start bombarding the app store. First I started at 6:27 with 24,258,507,655 ,but I rounded it to 507,655 (I will do the same for all of the other numbers that I get.) I copy down the numbers for 6:28, 6:29, and 6:30. I now subtract all of the numbers from the one that was before them except for 6:27. Then I find the average of those numbers which is 32855 apps per a minutes.

Now that I have the average I’m going to find out how far we are from 25,000,000,000  at the time 6:30. I get 341389879 then I divide that by the average apps per a min. and get 10400. Now that we know that we are 10400 minutes away from the end of the challenge we have to find out how many hours are left. After divided 10400 by 60 then I got 173 with a remainder of 20 minutes. After this I divide 173 by 24 I get 7 days with a remainder of 6 hours. SO in total mathematically the contest should in in 7 days 6 hours, and 20 minutes. To be sure to start downloading apps at the right time you are going to want to start downloading apps a hour or so before just to be sure.

Comparing Math Class

My math class is very different from  most of my other math class. Of course we use the computer a lot like right know as I’m making this blog post on the computer, and we do Khan Academy on the computer. I also really like that we can retake test these are the reasons that I like this math class, but I am more of a lone wolf so I like to work alone I would like it better if we didn’t have so many group work. #sw@g

What I have Learned in the First 9 Weeks

This nine weeks I learned many things about math I can now multiply, and divide negative numbers. I also learned that I can combine like terms, simplify expressions using exponents, perform the distributive properties, and combine like terms using the distributive properties. A example of multiplying and dividing negative numbers is 8*-5= -40. Over all I have been doing good in all of the things I have listed I could prove it by showing what I have done in Khan Academy. I think that I would have a high A if i Would to grade my self kinda like what I have on Live Grades.

Sincerely with Love

Estimating the Square Root of 89

Today I am going to explain how to estimate the square root of 89. First we need to set the barriers the square root of 81 is to the left, and the square root of 100 is to the right.  We know that the square root of 81 one is 9 and the square roost of 100 is 10. So between those two is 9.5. We need find out what square root is 9.5. First  we need to find the middle first we find out the gap between 81, and 100. The gap is 19  so we cut 19 in half and then we get 9.5. Next we add 9.5 to 81 and get 90.5 now that we have found the middle we will see how close the square root of 89 is to the middle of the barriers. So we estimate how far away it is some were around 9.4. Now we put it in our calculator, and get 9.43 so we were almost spot on.

My First Math Test

A couple days ago I took my first math test it was pretty easy. It was mostly about adding and subtracting negative numbers. I did it two times because I missed a question sadly, but I practiced and did it another time and got an A+.  I got messed up on whether it was a negative or a positive. Over all it was a pretty easy test I hope they dont get any harder.
